How 770 Garage Doors came to be
770 Garage Doors started in 2012 in a rented bay in Fort Lauderdale. Marco Reyes had spent eight seasons installing doors for a distributor and kept seeing the same thing: hardware that looked fine on the day of the sale and rusted through after three summers of salt air. He and his wife Elena opened their own location with a rule that every part they sold had to be something they would put on their own house a few blocks from the Intracoastal.
The coastal focus shaped everything. We specify galvanized tracks, stainless fasteners, and powder-coated hardware as the default, not the upgrade. Every replacement door we quote carries a wind-load rating suited to its zone, whether that is a high-velocity zone in Miami-Dade or an inland lot in Lakeland, and the documentation for your insurer is part of the paperwork. Before each hurricane season the locations shift toward bracing kits and pre-season inspections, because a door that fails is the fastest way to lose a roof.
